MTS Graphics Software Development Engineer – D3D
You will be part of RTG (Radeon Technologies Group) SW Customer Engineering team working on D3D driver development for APU/GPU products and fixing problems from OEM/ODM customers to ensure the quality of software deliverables on-time to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with global RTG Software teams and Customer Engineering teams to provide support and solution for the enablement of the next generation of APU/GPU products, Windows operating systems and DirectX technologies to OEM/ODM customers.
• Resolve problems related to Windows D3D driver including triaging, debugging and fixing problems from customers. Have a strong emphasis on meeting customer requirements regarding features and schedules.
• Specify, design and implement new ASIC, OS and software features.
• Coordinate closely with peers both locally and internationally to ensure timely and effective communication of all assigned work activities.
• Coach and mentor less experienced staffs. Influence others as a technical leader.
Requirement:
• MS+ degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering or an equivalent.
• Experience in software debugging on Windows operating system.
• Programming device drivers under Windows or Linux environment.
• Minimum industry experience (Master: 3~5 yrs; PhD: 1+ yr).
• C/C++ programming (5+ yrs). Object-oriented design and programming (5+ yrs).
• A self-motivated team player.
• Good communication skill and able to work with stakeholders effectively.
• Knowledge of Computer Graphics.
• Knowledge of Windows kernel is a plus.

You will be part of RTG (Radeon Technologies Group) SW Customer Engineering team working on multimedia driver development for APU/GPU products and fixing problems from OEM/ODM customers to ensure the quality of software deliverables on-time to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with global RTG Software teams and Customer Engineering teams to provide support and solution for the enablement of the next generation of APU/GPU products and Windows operating systems to OEM/ODM customers.

• Knowledge of multimedia framework such as DXVA, MFT and OpenMax.
• Knowledge of rate control, video quality analysis and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Windows kernel is a plus.
Requirement:
• MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent education background
• Solid skill of of C/C++ programming
• Solid experience of Linux kernel or Linux device driver development
• Deep Knowledge of Computer Architecture and Computer Graphics
• Deep Knowledge of x86 assembler language and x86/x64 CPU instructions
• Experience of X server or popular Linux based window system as a plus
• Experience of OpenGL, OpenCL/HSA, CUDA or MS DirectX as a plus
• Experience of software development in open source community as a plus
• Experience of android framework or kernel development as a plus
• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking (Pass CET-6 as minimum or TOEIC top 30%)
Description of duties
• Design, implement and maintain AMD GPU Linux driver with global counterpart teams
• Add new features, tuning performance improve the driver quality
• Work with other software component teams under Linux graphics driver stack
• Work with hardware and platform teams to bring up new discrete GPU or SoC
• Work with Linux open source community to define next generation of graphic driver architecture
• Work with various Business Unit to understand customer requirement and figure out solution
