用Google查了一下，有人问过这样的问题。

Setup problem : DemoShield Run-Time Player Error

When I try to setup SQL Server 2000,I get this error
"DemoShield Run-Time Player has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Can anyone help me to solve the problem ?

Hi,

This seems to be a Problem with the Quicktime player. Please follow the
following steps.

1. Reboot the machine in Safe Mode
2. Rename the quicktime.qts file to quicktime.old.qts
3. Restart the machine in normal mode
4. Install the SQL Server.

Hope this would solve your issue.

不知道你机器里有没有装过QuickTime。如果是这样的。
1.重新启动你的电脑进入安全模式。
2.重命名你的电脑里的quicktime.qts文件为quicktime.old.qts
3.重启电脑。
4.再次尝试安装Sql Sever
顺便说一下，Xp只能装Sql个人版。
